— SERVICE ADVANTAGE —

Our factory is proudly Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®) certified, demonstrating our commitment to responsible forestry and sustainable production. This internationally recognized certification ensures that all wood-based materials used in our manufacturing process originate from responsibly managed forests that meet rigorous environmental, social, and economic standards. By choosing FSC-certified products, our customers support biodiversity conservation, community rights, and long-term forest health. We maintain complete traceability throughout our supply chain to guarantee compliance with FSC's principles of ethical sourcing and environmental stewardship.

Our factory holds the amfori Business Social Compliance Initiative (BSCI) certification, underscoring our dedication to ethical labor practices and social responsibility. This globally recognized standard verifies our adherence to fair working conditions, human rights protections, and equitable treatment of workers throughout our operations. Regular audits ensure compliance with BSCI’s stringent requirements, including safe workplaces, fair wages, and prohibition of forced or child labor. By prioritizing social accountability, we empower our partners and customers to align with values that promote dignity, sustainability, and transparency in global supply chains.

Our products are proudly certified by both Intertek and SGS, two globally recognized leaders in quality assurance and testing. This dual certification confirms independent verification of compliance with international standards for safety, performance, and sustainability. Rigorous testing protocols ensure our offerings meet strict requirements for material integrity, environmental impact, and operational reliability. These certifications reinforce our commitment to transparency, supply chain accountability, and delivering products that exceed regulatory and consumer expectations.

Company Honor

We pair conceptual innovations with an appreciation for sensory pleasure and the occasional wry twist and we make each piece to add quiet refinement to contemporary environments. For us, luxury is not about excess and status, but about choosing to invest in essential pieces that return a rich quality of everyday pleasure over a lifetime.

Company History

Resident’s ethos reflects our heritage. Coming from an isolated island nation, we learned to take to a resourceful approach, doing more with less, and became driven to make inspirational design widely accessible.

Our products are conceived in New Zealand, then executed through a world of design that extends from our specialist lighting production team in Auckland, to the world’s finest timber joiners in Lithuania, and boutique upholstery workshops in London, Los Angeles and Melbourne.
